HTC One X Review

The Good: The HTC One X’s design is new and unique. The display is one of the best on the market. The device is wicked fast thanks to it’s quad core Tegra 3 chip. The 8mp camera takes great photos and comes with a load of features. Beats Audio makes music sound clearer and increase in bass and treble. 25gb of free dropbox storage as well as 32gb of built in storage.

The bad: Battery life could of been a bit better. HSPA+ signal seems to be cutting in and out. No expandable storage.

HTC One X: Winner or flop?

HTC was one of the biggest competitors a couple years ago, with the HTC Evo 4G, and Nexus One. I’m not saying they aren’t a competitor right now but they have lost their flare in the past 12 months. Motorola and Samsung has stepped up with more devices. Samsung has been pushing their galaxy s II devices, galaxy note, and the Galaxy Nexus. Verizon and Motorola are advertising the heck out of the Motorola Droid Razr and Razr Maxx. HTC is now taking the commitment to bring out the best devices in 2012 with The HTC One Series they introduced in Barcelona last month. So far they have confirmed the HTC One V, S and X. I will be primarily be talking about the big boy of the pack, the HTC One X.

The new iPad! First 4 days

Apple has just announced it has sold over 3 million iPads in its first 3 days. The iPhone 4S sold 4 million in its first 3 days. This is a very amazing number considering the iPad is much more expensive if you don’t count off-contract iPhones. I ordered a black 32gb 4G LTE iPad and it arrived at launched like promised by apple’s website. The new iPad features an almost identical body as the iPad 2. It is slightly thicker and heavier at 9.4mm and 1.44 pounds. As the rumors suggested it does have the all new retina display and A5X quad core graphics chip. Apple has also included a much needed 5MP iSight camera and 4G LTE for AT&T and Verizon. Here are my initial impressions of the all new iPad.

Why I always go back to the iPhone

There are so many smart phones to choose from; Android devices made by Samsung, HTC, LG, Pantech etc, Blackberry devices, Windows Phones and of course the Apple iPhone. I have been an iPhone user since the iPhone 3G. The iPhone was my first smartphone and as well as one of my favorite devices of all time. I was amazed by it’s beautiful 3.5″ display, sleek design, apps and intuitive OS. That was a long time ago. Now we have even more powerful devices with bigger screens, better hardware and 4G connectivity. I have used the best smart phones available like the Samsung Galaxy S II, S II Skyrocket, Galaxy Nexus, and Galaxy Note. These devices offer more features than the iPhone like customizable OS, 4G LTE, bigger screen, removable batteries and expandable storage. While I do find these features great, the iPhone is in a class of its own and here are the reasons why I end up going back to the iPhone.
